The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, managed by Caltech for NASA, is the leading center for robotic exploration of the solar system. JPL designed and operated the Mariner, Viking, Voyager, Galileo, Cassini, and Mars rover missions, among dozens of others. Every American spacecraft that has visited another planet was built or managed by JPL. The laboratory''s Deep Space Network provides communication links to spacecraft throughout the solar system.
