The world''s first commercial space launch company, established to market and operate the Ariane rocket family. Arianespace dominated the commercial geostationary satellite launch market through the 1990s and 2000s with Ariane 4 and Ariane 5. The company launched the James Webb Space Telescope on an Ariane 5 in December 2021, a mission so precise it doubled the telescope''s expected operational lifetime. Arianespace now operates the Ariane 6 and Vega-C rockets.
