Orbital Sciences
Orbital Sciences Corporation, now part of Northrop Grumman, developed the Pegasus air-launched rocket, the first privately developed orbital launch vehicle in history. Pegasus is dropped from a carrier aircraft at 40,000 feet before igniting its solid-fuel motors, eliminating the need for a ground launch site. The company also developed the Minotaur family of rockets and the Cygnus cargo spacecraft that services the International Space Station.
No vehicles documented yet for Orbital Sciences.
